Room 502 | Late Afternoon | Tuesday | February 2
Bod didn't tire easily but even two mentally tough classes were enough to exhaust him somewhat. After the last one, he'd come back to his room and flopped backwards on his bed, feet on the floor and arms flopped haphazardly on his mattress.
He only planned on staying there a minute or two, just enough to gather up his focus and his reorder his thoughts before doing something else. Anything else. His first instinct was to take a nap but Bod fought that one and, instead, rolled to his side to pull out a bag from underneath his bed.
After removing the collectibles from the bag last week, all that remained were his important documents. Passports, ID's, and other things Silas had given to him upon his departure from the graveyard. His eyes fell on the birth date and Bod wondered if that was even true. These documents said he had a birthday but he'd never celebrated one and he didn't think Silas could magically know his actual birthday despite all of his talents.
His name was Nobody Owens but even someone but even someone as confident and as proud of that name as he was could wonder about his unknown past.
[door and post are open! still iced in for the most part so keep me entertained!]

Many. Really.
And yet, suddenly she was here, in this particular place, leaning her shoulder against the doorframe. She was wrapped up in her short leather jacket and wearing fingerless gloves; it wasn't as if she'd come here on purpose, no. She'd been smoking up on the roof, and this was just a random detour on her way back down to her own room.
"Hey," she said. "Whatcha doing?"
no subject
"You, on the other hand, look like you've been out and about," he observed, pushing himself into a sitting position on the edge of his bed. "What're you doing?"

Case in point.
"I would have missed your visit," he pointed out. "Better than me being lazy for a few hours."
no subject
Still, she had a point to argue. "I don't know, naps are pretty awesome too. And you don't know how this visit will go, yet."

"You don't have to lurk in the doorway," he offered, gesturing to the small but open dorm room. "I haven't bitten anyone since I was a child so I think I can restrain myself now."

Besides, he wasn't sure she'd actually honestly answer a question that could easily be construed as personal and private. Not with him, at least.
no subject
No, this was not the kind of private thing Kate had a problem sharing. And yes, he was being watched closely for his reaction, now.
She shrugged. "And I guess gentle is the key word. I'm not a fan of actually getting bruised. Bruises raise too many questions."
no subject
And while his reaction wasn't very obvious, if she watched close enough, she'd be able to see a twitch of one corner of his mouth or a tinge of pink around his ears. Other than that, nothing much to show.
"Pleasurable biting," he said, nodding. And while he hadn't done it himself, he'd read enough and talked to enough people to know. "Balancing between what feels good and what's painful. Tricky line to walk, isn't it?"
no subject
Maybe it had been a test of some sort.
Maybe he'd passed.
"Practice makes perfect," she remarked. "And practising is fun."

Hey, she said she thought he'd annoy her. He couldn't very well let her down, could he?
"I am still new, after all," he added after a moment.
no subject
Annoying? He was going to have to try harder.

And Bod didn't really want suggestions. He was just looking for ways to get under her skin again, see what was there.
"What do you want?" he asked, making sure to answer her question. "I might be able to give it to you."
no subject
Among other things. But those other things were mostly severely more abtract and, unsurprisingly, private.
"But I can easily get that myself."
