Room 502 | Early Afternoon | Wednesday | January 6
There were some definite benefits with getting all of his classes out of the way in one day. It gave Bod the rest of the week for his own exploration and enjoyment. Silas, he knew, would fix him with a look that said 'don't waste too much time on idle pursuits' but Bod didn't think he was. This place was unlike anyplace Bod had ever been and it demanded exploration. It demanded attention and focus and Bod could hardly call those idle pursuits.
He'd already been to the graveyard, found himself face to face with the gravestones of ghosts who weren't friends of his. It would have been a bit lonely if he hadn't met Castiel. (something Silas would love to hear about, no doubt). The memory made Bod smile. An actual, real angel. Bod guessed that that was only the beginning of the surprises this island had to offer.
Today, though, Bod wasn't out exploring. Today, he was sitting at his desk, hunched over a book that he wasn't really reading. His eyes kept flicking to the window, watching trees sway in the distance and wondering how cold it was out there. He knew he could go over, press a hand to the pane and soak up some of the cold but he wanted to save that.
Later, he'd go out and take a walk. It was an easy decision to make. For now, he'd try to read a little more.
